These Juicy Oven-Baked Chicken Meatballs are incredibly flavorful and simple to prepare.
They work perfectly as appetizers served with marinara, tossed with pasta, or stacked into a meatball sub. They’re also easy to meal prep for the week.
I love experimenting with sauces, wings and meatballs, so I’ll be sharing more variations and the sauces that pair best with them. In the meantime, enjoy this straightforward and reliable chicken meatball recipe.
How to Make These Juicy Oven-Baked Chicken Meatballs:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Combine all meatball ingredients in a large bowl—using your hands helps ensure everything is evenly mixed.
- Form the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and arrange them on a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space between each one so they roast evenly.
- Bake 15–20 minutes, flipping once halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Avoid overcooking: ground chicken is lean and can dry out quickly. Aim for fully cooked but still juicy meatballs.
- Let the meatballs rest 3–5 minutes after removing them from the oven, then serve.
Juicy Oven-Baked Chicken Meatballs – Tips & Tricks
- Watch the internal temperature to prevent drying—165°F (74°C) is the safe target for ground chicken.
- Serve these with marinara or a sweeter-spicy option like a maple-habanero-style sauce to balance the savory flavors.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3–4 days.
