I love festive table settings. Wrapping utensils in a napkin makes it convenient for guests to have everything they need in one package, and it adds a charming decorative touch to the table. For this table I paired red plastic utensils and blue napkins, and decided to make simple white napkin rings accented with a star design to fit the patriotic theme.

DIY Patriotic Napkin Rings
I like to DIY as much as possible for parties, so I used my cutting machine to speed things up. This project is very straightforward: once each napkin ring is cut, simply wrap it around the folded napkin and utensils and secure the ends together. No glue is needed, and the assembly is fast. Because I needed both hands to put them together, I included a short video that shows the process clearly.
If you use a cutting machine, the design is available in Cricut Design Space for quick cutting and reproduction. Cutting all the rings ahead of time saves a lot of party-day effort.
I usually prepare what I can in advance. I cut and assembled these napkin rings about a week before the party and stored them until setup day, which made the final prep much quicker.

I’ll be sharing more red, white, and blue ideas before the full party reveal. If you enjoy paper crafts, check out my patriotic rosettes tutorial for another DIY accent. For a tasty patriotic treat, my friend has a lovely tutorial for red, white, and blue chocolate-covered strawberries that pairs perfectly with these table details.

That’s all for these patriotic napkin rings. Enjoy creating them, and have a great celebration!
