Shoes That Keep You Comfortable Standing All Day

For someone who loves visiting Disney World as much as I do, you might think I would have discovered the best shoes for standing all day and walking the parks by now. I’ve had comfortable shoes before, but this year was different.

I turned 40 this summer and, just weeks before that milestone, I was diagnosed with a painful case of plantar fasciitis in my right heel. Since May, walking and even getting out of bed became difficult. My normally quick pace slowed to a crawl during our summer vacation.

My friend and fellow Disney Parks Moms Panelist, Kate, who is a nurse, recommended Oofos recovery shoes. I bought a pair of sandals to try them, and they made a huge difference.

Oofos are the best shoes for standing all day

This post was created after I experienced Oofos shoes firsthand. I reached out to the company and they kindly sent me additional styles to try. Some links in this post may be affiliate links; I may earn a commission on purchases made through them.

What are the best shoes for standing all day?

The best shoes for standing all day are the ones you can comfortably wear all day. Different feet need different support, but since July I’ve worn Oofos sandals and the OOmg recovery shoe almost every day, and my feet have never been happier.

For me, Oofos are the best shoes for standing all day by a wide margin.

After buying my first pair, I contacted Oofos about collaborating. They sent me another pair of sandals and the OOmg shoe to try for cooler weather. My husband also bought a pair, and we both love them.

What are Oofos made of?

Oofos market themselves as recovery shoes for runners and athletes, but they suit anyone who needs comfort and support. Their proprietary foam absorbs shock and cushions sore arches. The shoes are latex-free and vegan. You don’t need to run marathons to appreciate the relief they provide.

If you’re dealing with morning heel pain or trouble standing, Oofos can be a helpful option. Another benefit: they don’t retain odor. I wore my sandals all summer, often without socks, and they stayed fresh.

Are Oofos the best shoes for overweight people?

In my experience, yes—Oofos have been among the most comfortable shoes for me during heavier seasons. I’m working on reducing the strain on my body, but having supportive, shock-absorbing shoes makes daily life much easier in the meantime.

My weight has fluctuated over the years, and well-fitting, supportive shoes are essential during those times. Both Oofos styles I’ve tried provide excellent cushioning and support.

Are Oofos worth the price?

Oofos come in several styles with prices starting around $50 for sandals. My first pair felt priceless because of the relief they provided. Even though the brand sent me additional styles to try, I plan to buy more in the future—these are shoes I want to keep on hand.

This fall I’ve been wearing the OOmg low shoes, which are great for cooler weather. They also offer clogs and recently launched a boot style. Overall, the quality and comfort make them worth considering.

How long do Oofos last?

Oofos recommends replacing shoes after about 4–6 months of regular wear, though actual lifespan depends on usage. I wore my first sandals almost daily for just under four months and was still satisfied, but the new pair from the company felt noticeably fresher—so I agree with their guideline.
